More than 700 million people, or 10 per cent of the world population, still live in extreme poverty today, struggling to fulfill the most basic needs like health, education, and access to water and sanitation, to name a few. The majority of people living on less than $1.90 a day live in sub-Saharan Africa. Worldwide, the poverty rate in rural areas is 17.2 per cent—more than three times higher than in urban areas.

In a world where hunger and poverty continue to affect millions, the 2024 World Feed The Poor Day stands as a shining example of hope and resilience. On August 2nd, people from all walks of life will come together to make a difference, to feed the poor, and to empower the marginalized.
This year's event promises to be bigger and better, with public outreach programs, thanksgiving sessions, and a grand Gala/Awards Night to recognize the champions of hope. The day will be filled with acts of kindness, generosity, and compassion, reminding us that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope.
As we join hands to fight hunger and poverty, we are reminded that every small act counts, every volunteer matters, and every donation makes a difference. We are reminded that together, we can create a world where no one goes hungry, where no one is left behind.
So let us come together on August 2nd, with hope in our hearts and a determination to make a change. Let us feed the poor, empower the marginalized, and transform lives. Together, we can create a brighter future for all.
